Geli provides the first application platform and associated solutions to power the emerging Internet of Energy. Through our Virtual Power Plant platform, we also provide supervisory control and big-data energy analytics. Geli considers energy storage to be the hard drive of energy and is working with over 20x Tier 1 OEM’s to onboard the Geli EOS as the controls platform for distributed energy storage deployments. With over 50MW of distributed energy storage projects in the pipeline with over 100 energy developer partners, The company is experiencing overwhelming demand for its best-in-class analytics platform and energy operating system.

Geli is headquartered in San Francisco and recently opened an office in Melbourne, Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director of Business Development – Asia Pacific to evaluate energy storage business opportunities in Australia/New Zealand
  • Engage with Geli’s project development partners (solar developers, electricity retailers and distributors, OEMs)
  • Support energy storage modeling and analytics efforts in Australia/NZ and US
  • Work with the Business Development team on RFP and grant proposals
  • Influence product development by testing and providing feedback on tools developed by the Engineering team
  • Manage a database of tariffs, energy markets, and utilities in Australia/NZ
  • Account management of Geli’s partners in Australia/NZ and US
  • Work closely with the Analytics and Business teams on sales processes

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 4-year university degree
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of energy storage, energy markets, and the electricity sector
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communicative skills
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Interest in disruptive technologies and business models merging internet technologies and energy

 

Desired Experience & Skills

  • Detailed understanding of electricity tariffs, Networks (DNSPs), and Retailers in Australia/NZ
  • Matlab and/or Python skills are highly desirable
  • Familiarity with financial modeling
  • Knowledge of communications protocols (CANBUS, MODBUS, TCP, etc.)
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Accelo, etc.)
