Vice President of Sales

Geli (Growing Energy Labs, Inc.) based in downtown San Francisco, (www.geli.net), is seeking an entrepreneurial Vice President of Sales who will lead Geli’s sales activities across multiple market and channel segments. The ideal candidate will align revenue and market penetration objectives alongside Geli’s Marketing, Business Development, Engineering and Operations teams.

The VP of Sales will be focused on managing sales teams in San Francisco and Melbourne, Australia, growing and refining these organizations, and for driving sales execution and results. We’re looking for a strong leader who is excited to work in emerging Internet of Energy space to build a world class sales organization.

The VP of Sales will:

  • Develop annual sales plans that are aligned with Company objectives, and product and market strategies
  • Manage both Direct and Channel sales activities of Geli, and work with Business Development and Marketing to refine the sales strategies aligned with both direct and indirect customer segments
  • Mentor, nurture, and manage a talented Sales and Technical Sales team, including refining compensation plans for maximum alignment with segment focus
  • Provide improved visibility to CEO, Board and Executive leadership team of pipeline development and forecasted revenue
  • Align go-to-market insights with Marketing and Business Development to further accelerate revenue capture and improve the repeatability of Geli’s product offerings
  • Manage and grow a large network of partners to influence and drive revenue opportunities

 

The ideal candidate has:

  • A demonstrated track record of success in growing early revenue bases and delivering on-target revenue and customer acquisition objectives
  • 10+ years of sales management experience, with previous industry exposure to at least one of the following customer segments: Utilities, Solar and Wind Project Developers, Power Electronics OEMS, Battery OEMS, and Energy Retailers/Service Providers
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex sales cycles involving heavy partner participation and influence
  • Passion for playing a formative role in the culture and operational mindset of an early-stage company
  • Comfort with nascent market dynamics and the ability to react to market conditions as they evolve
